Adjective is the most interesting
category of English parts of speech. Adjectives are the describing words they
describe nouns and add more to them. Adjective provides us every detail about
noun.
Definition: “Adjective is a
describing word that describes noun or pronoun”. Such as:
Sahil is brave boy.
I saw fierce dog yesterday.
Robert has a smart phone.
The leaves of trees are green.
Minty gave me red pen.
Feeble man asked for help.
Above all bold words are adjectives
because they describing nouns or pronouns and adding more about the nouns or
pronouns.Adjectives play vital rule and are
crucial for English.
Adjectives can be used before nouns and
after the verbs like this:
Kid ate cold ice-cream.

quantity: The words that
show us amount or quantity of the nouns are adjectives of quantity. Such as:

all bold words showed us indefinite quantity or number of nouns. Adjectives of
quantity don’t tell us an exact amount or number of nouns.
Adjective
of number (Numeral adjective): The words that show the number of nouns are
adjectives of number or numeral adjectives. Such as:

are five hundred students in our school.
I
have three hundred rupees in my pocket.

Definite
Numeral Adjectives-are the
adjectives that denote exact and correct number of a noun.
Examples: One, Two, Three, Four,
Five (Cardinals)
First, Second, Third, Fourth, Fifth
(Ordinal)
Indefinite
Numeral Adjectives-are the adjectives
that don’t denote an exact and correct number of a noun. Refer it generally.
Examples:
Few, Many, Some, All, Each.
Distributive Numeral Adjectives-are the
adjectives that refer nouns individually in whole number or amount.
Examples: Each, Either, Neither.
Demonstrative Adjective: These are the
adjectives that indicate or point out nouns. There are four demonstrative
adjectives in number.
This/These (point or refer near distance)
Examples: This book is mine.
These are happiest couple.
That/Those (point or refer long distance)
That day I
can’t forget.
Those classrooms were wide.
Indefinite Adjective: These adjectives show indefinite amount or
number of nouns. They don’t give us an exact idea about the nouns. Just express
them generally. Such as:
Examples: Abid read many books.
I saw his all photographs.
He has much money.
Inspector solved several cases.
Most people like cricket in our country.
Possessive Adjective: Possessive
pronouns are called possessive adjectives when they follow nouns to show
relations or ownership. Such as:
My English is improved.
They know his profession
Our dreams will come true.
She sent their letter.
We know its fault.
Above all bold words are possessive adjectives,
because they describing nouns.
Interrogative Adjective: These are
adjectives that use with nouns to enquire something or ask questions.
Such as:
Proper Adjective: These adjectives are derived from proper nouns
and capitalized while writing. Such as:
