Computer Questions and Answers


Q.1 What is Computer?
Ans. A computer is a programmable machine. It allows the user to store all sorts of information and then ‘process’ that information, or data, or carry out actions with the information, such as calculating numbers or organising words.
Q.2 What is input?
Ans. Data we enter or send to computer is called input.
Q.3 What is output?
Ans. Data or information that computer processed and then display it to us is called output.
Q.4 What is difference between Data and Information?
Ans. Data is a random facts while Information is processed data that having sense and meaning of something.
Q.5 What is Hardware?
Ans. Hardware is a physical part of computer that is used for input or output of a computer. Physical means that can be touch , seen by us.
Q.6 How many types of Hardware?
Ans. There are two types of Hardware.
(1) Peripheral  (2) Component
Peripheral is a hardware that connects to computer with cable external side . As: Keyboard, Mouse, Printer, Speakers. etc…
Component is a physical part of a computer that is laid inside your computer case or system unit. As CPU. Hard drive, Heat sink.etc…
Q.7 What is Diskette?
Ans. A small, removable, flexible mylar plastic disk covered with a thin layer of a magnetisable substance, onto which digital data can be recorded and stored. Also known as a floppy disk.
Q.8 What is RAM?
Ans. RAM is stand for random access memory, An area in the computer system unit that temporarily holds a user's data, operating system instructions and program instructions.
Q.9  What is Hard Drive?
Ans.The storage area of  the computer where gigabytes of space are available to store of data and information. Also known as a hard disk.
Q.10 What is an Application software?
Ans. An application software is computer program which is used to perform certain or specific task, As. MS Office, internet browser, notepad etc…
Q.11 What is Bus in computer term?
Ans. The path that lets the parts of a computer communicate with each other.
