Kids Basic Science Definitions

Kid's Science Definitions
Bone- is the hardest part of animal’s body that is responsible for  forming any  skeleton , there are 206 bones in adult human body, bones are mainly composed of calcium phosphate and calcium carbonate.
Carnivore- is an animal that eats other animals, like Eagle, Sharks etc.
Herbivore- is an animal that eats plants like, cow, sheep etc.
Omnivore- is an animal that eats both plants and animals like, horse, bears etc.
Equator-is an imaginary line in the middle of Earth.
Atom-is the smallest part of an element.
Mass-is an amount of matter in an object, kilogram is the unit of mass.
Weight- is the gravitational  force applied by earth.
Vertebrate- animal that having backbone is called vertebrate like;  donkey, dog, cat etc.
Invertebrate- animal without  backbone is called invertebrate like jellyfish etc.
Friction-is force that is reduced the movement of two bodies or objects when they rubbed with each other.
Law conversion of mass- this law states that “ Matter is not created nor destroyed during chemical reaction ”.
Energy- is the power of do things or work, we get energy from food, Sun is the biggest source of energy, joule is the unit of energy.
Light- is the form of an energy, world’s fastest thing is a light.
Molecule- two or more than two atoms form molecules when they combine together by chemical reaction, it can exist independently.
Mass Number-is the total number of neutrons and protons in the nucleus of an atom, Mass number is represented by “A” symbol.
Atomic  Number- is the total number of protons in the nucleus of an atom, Atomic  Number is  represented by “Z” symbol.
Conductor- is a substance in which electricity can pass, such as copper, silver etc.
Insulator-is the substance in which electricity cannot pass, such as wood, plastic etc.
Electron- is one of fundamental particles of an atom has negative charge and was discovered by Physicist J-J Thomson in 1897.
Mammalogy- is branch of zoology that deals with the study of mammals, are the animals who give birth and feed  their young with milk, mammals have hairy body.
