Deepest and largest fresh water lake of world

Lake Baikal in Siberia is the deepest and largest fresh water lake of world ,maximum depth of lake is 1,632 m and it is 636 km long. The width of lake Baikal is 79 to 80 km . Total area of lake is 31,500 sq km (12,200 sq km). The lake Baikal originated 20 to 25 million years ago . There are 27 islands in lake Baikal and more than 300 streams and rivers flow into lake Baikal . The word Baikal is derived from the Turkish Bai - kul that means " A rich lake ". Different definitions about word " Baikal".
